Spring 2018

A warm welcome back and a Happy New Year to all our pupils and parents, and a sincere thank you to everyone who continues to support Danceforce in every way. 2017 was a very exciting year for us, full of celebrations for my 20th anniversary as Principal, with a fantastic Little Movers display in July and outstanding exam results year-round.

This July we will be holding another Little Movers display to continue showcasing all our little dancers' talents!

The staff have been busy topping up their CPD skills with various professional courses, to ensure that we are up to speed with the latest policies for safe dance practises and will continue to gain outstanding results and remain the leading dance school in this area.

It has been fantastic to see Miss Korina and Miss Maxine settle into teaching at Danceforce; this is now their second term.

Danceforce is busier than ever and we have had a count up and discovered that we are now offering 72 classes on our timetable!

As some of you might have noticed we are re-launching the pre school classes as Happy Toes - but don't worrythere's no change to Miss Louise's fantastic classes.

Following on from the success of our 4 -7 yer old class, we have opened up a new class for 8 - 11year olds

Our senior girls have the opportunity to assist our busy Saturday classes. If you would like to be part of the assistant team, please let us know, as it gives invaluable hands on experience with children and teaching and can be used for Duke of Edinburgh volunteer work.

Parking & Changing Areas

Changing areas are very limited. Please arrive ready changed where possible. To maximise class times please can you change from your outdoor shoes to your dance shoes in the lobby before class.
Use the toilets / kitchen to change in. There must be no changing in the lobby outside the John Hunt Room, as it is part of the church, arrive ready dressed for class or use the Swinnerton Hall toilets.

Thankyou to parents and guardians for following our new instructions on picking up children and dropping off.
I would like parents to come into the building to collect their children/ teenagers, I don't want any Danceforce pupils waiting on the road to be collected.
I know that some senior students make their own way home, I would rather they were picked up by parents, but if they do need to make their own way home, please have a safety talk with them and make sure they are dressed properly.
After class, Infant/Junior Children should wait in the hall with the teacher, senior school children must wait in the lobby where the teacher can see them.
Danceforce pupils should not be leaving classes in just their leotard & tights.
I would ask parents to take this opportunity to remind their children how to stay safe and not to speak with strangers. Most importantly you must always come into the hall area to make sure that classes are on  - DO NOT DROP THEM OFF AND DRIVE OFF.

Please always shut the main front doors.
